El Paso Fire Department Embraces Leadership

The El Paso Fire Department has launched a new initiative to promote cultural change within their ranks.  The centerpiece of the effort is to incorporate a suite of leadership programs into their training curriculum.

In support of this goals, the department has partnered with MCS to conduct five At the Point of the Spear programs since September 2009. Approximately 100 response leaders graduated from these programs, including individuals from numerous neighboring agencies such as the El Paso Police Department, Fort Bliss Fire Department, Las Cruces Fire Department, Horizon City Volunteer Fire Department, West Valley Volunteer Fire Department, and the Round Rock Fire Department.
