MCS Supports IAFC International Fellowship Program

MCS is very excited and grateful to be part of this unique partnership, using our extensive international experience to support the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) mission to lead, educate and serve the fire service on a global scale. The IAFC is working with the Saudi Aramco Fire Protection Department to embed firefighters and officers with the U.S. Fire Service for six-month fellowships. San Diego Fire-Rescue Department led the way by agreeing to host the first three cohorts of fellows. Other departments across the United States have expressed interest and are in discussions with the IAFC to host future cohorts.

The MCS role is to facilitate the leader development track of the program. Each cohort of fellows receives an introduction to Mission-Driven Culture as part of their on-boarding and then goes through the Human Factors (L-180), Emerging Leader (L-280), Fire Service Leadership (L-380) programs and a Capstone Project as part of their six month experience.

With so much complexity and challenge in the world it is a real honor to be involved in projects that bring our cultures closer together and build positive relationships for the future.
