MCS Presents New Concept for PTBs at 2016 AHIMTA Symposium

MCS presenting at 2015 AHIMT Symposium.

MCS presents a future concept of an Intent-Based Position Task Book (PTB) along with an accompanying Evaluator Guide on December 7th at a general session of the All Hazards Incident Management Team Association (AHIMTA) Symposium in Oklahoma City, OK.

The AHIMTAs Interstate Qualifications Committee asked us to assist them in an exploration of what a PTB evaluation might look like using the Mission-Driven Culture Framework?

These documents are the product of that dialogue.  These are potential future concepts, not necessarily intended to be “the” next PTB, but inspiring or informing future PTB development.

We incorporated “Task, Purpose and End State” and “Success Conditions” into each competency area to better capture the standards expected, as well as added in tasks around leadership, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork.
